Limited availability during the holidays

Another busy year is coming to its end, and an exciting year lies ahead. In order to get ready for a fresh new start, our team will spend a few days' rest during the winter holidays. Over the holiday break, we will have reduced staffing from December 20th, 2024, to January 5th, 2025, so please be patient if you do not receive a response as quickly as you normally would.

We send our warmest wishes for happiness, health, and success throughout the coming year. Thank you for your continued support, and may you have a peaceful and blessed Happy Holidays!

We are having a problem where now that we have updated our LayerSLider plugin, the background black transparent background behind our heading and copy is scaling, but the actual text isn't. How can we fix this globally across the site? We have approximately 60 unique banners throughout this high traffic website.

    Thanks

    Hey Maryhaurilak,

The problem is caused by that you have added the content (texts) using HTML to a single layer instead of setting them up separately. The slider only scales the layer itself but not the content inside of it, so if you decide to nest multiple elements in it you will need to make sure that they are responsive as well.
Alternatively you can set up these elements as individual layers so the responsive mode will be applied on them properly.

    Hi Attila,

They layer was scaling until we updated to the latest version... did something change in how the plugin works?

We have 61 banners across the entire site. This is a rather substantial effort on our part to rebuild all these banners. Also if we put the semi-transparent black background as its own layer, then add the text on top as secondary layers, the semi-transparent background won't dynamically scale as the content changes, therefore not solving the problem.

Do you have any better ideas?

    Thanks,

    Cam

From which version of the plugin did you update exactly ? LayerSlider has been drastically changed in version 6 but this part was left untouched, so the update should not affect it.

Every layer is being scaled proprotionally if you set it up correctly, so using individual layers should not be a problem for achieving this layout as an alternate solution.
