The site listed above is running WP 4.7 & LayerSlider 6.1.0. While the installed slider is still working, when I try to edit it I get a blank page with this message:
Server configuration issues detected! phpQuery, an external library in LayerSlider, have unmet dependencies. It requires PHP5 with the following extensions installed: PHP DOM extension, PHP Multibyte String extension. Please contact with your hosting provider to resolve these dependencies, as it will likely prevent LayerSlider from functioning properly. This issue could result a blank page in slider builder.
The site is running PHP 6 on a Bluehost shared server. I have also tried PHP 7 and still get the same message. I spent 20 minutes chatting with a tech @ Bluehost yesterday and I was assured that those PHP extensions are running on the server.
I'm not sure what else to do other than roll back LayerSlider to an earlier version.
The plugin detects the lack of proper PHP requirements. The PHP version you are using is adequate but one (or both) of the extensions are missing or not activated on your server.
If you enable the WP debug mode you will be able to see the related error message. If you show this error to the hosting they will know what to install, update or activate.
We did not find anything wrong on the info page, but as we can see the error reporting is turned off, so the WP debug mode is not active (or it could be overruled).
The next step would be to find out what error is causing it to fail exactly. Please check the WP debug mode again to see if everything checks out. Alternatively you could also try to enable the error reporting method through your hosting's web interface.
If it still does not work out, you might have to ask your hosting provider to look into the logs to see what errors are there.
I have resolved the problem, at least for now. The theme - Enfold - came bundled with LayerSlider, but I also bought a LayerSlider license in order to receive auto updates. I then somehow ended up with v6.1.0 installed as an independent plugin while v5.6.8 was included in the most current version of the theme.
When I removed v6.1.0 from the plugins folder, the error message disappeared and the slider editor is working fine again. I guess I will not update LayerSlider independently of the theme.
It is also possible that the two instances of LayerSlider (the bundled one and the new one from us) conflicted in some way on your installation causing this issue. You would need to completely remove the bundled version and do a clean install with our package to prevent this conflict and be able to use version 6 properly.
We have just had a conversation with Kriesi, the author of your theme. We have discussed it and recommended them some methods that they could apply on the theme that prevents the conflicts in the new version and also an option to disable the theme version of LayerSlider easily.

I understand that is what is happening, but after 20 minutes on with Bluehost support yesterday, they insisted that those extensions are running.
When I turned on debugging, I got no relevant errors.
I have created a php info page for you to take a look at:
