Limited availability during the holidays
Another busy year is coming to its end, and an exciting year lies ahead. In order to get ready for a fresh new start, our team will spend a few days' rest during the winter holidays. Over the holiday break, we will have reduced staffing from December 20th, 2024, to January 5th, 2025, so please be patient if you do not receive a response as quickly as you normally would.
We send our warmest wishes for happiness, health, and success throughout the coming year. Thank you for your continued support, and may you have a peaceful and blessed Happy Holidays!
Hi!
Testing the slider on a mobile device, i found that the youtube autoplay doesn't work like on a desktop.
When the slider reached the video slide, just shows the youtube preloader and doesn't move from there. To play the video i have to refresh, and when it gets to the video slide press the play button.
(testing with android 6, latest mobile chrome browser)
Thank you
Hugo
Hey Hugogon,
The video autoplay will not work properly in most cases on mobile devices due to certain mobile browser restrictions.
There are different limitations on each platform and some will let the video autoplay but others wont. Unfortunately there is nothing we can do about this from our end. These restrictions are generated intentionally by the author of the platform/browser.
Hi Attila,
Thank you for your reply.
I understand. In that case is it possible to disable the video autoplay in the mobile alone while keeping it working for the desktop, or at least have a image fallback?
Cheers
Hugo
Since version 6 you have the option to display layers only on certain devices (mobile, tablet and desktop). You can use these new settings to hide the video layer on mobiles if you choose to.
Hi Attila!
Thank you for your reply. Sorry i couldn't answer sooner.
I'll try that, and get back to you.
If i don't talk to you sooner, have a great Christmas!
Cheers
