Hello, I’m using Endfold 7.1.5 and LayerSlider 8.2.0 as a standalone plugin. I’d like to use the Pin Layer feature; it works very well on desktop computers and on mobile devices in landscape mode, but on mobile devices in portrait mode, a white area appears above the image or video, and the image or video is cropped. I have left the “Pin Layer” settings enabled on the page: https://birgit-gmeiner.at/trends/autumn-winter-2025-26/ as an example for you. I can’t find the correct setting.
Thank you for the detailed report and for leaving the Pin Layer settings enabled on the example page.
Unfortunately, this appears to be related to a current limitation/issue in mobile browsers, especially in portrait orientation. The Pin Layer feature relies on scroll and viewport calculations, and some mobile browsers report or update viewport dimensions differently while scrolling, which can result in extra white space or cropped media.
We’re already looking into possible workarounds to make this more reliable on mobile devices. At the moment, however, there may not be a setting in LayerSlider that fully resolves this in every mobile portrait scenario.
thank you very much for your prompt reply. Would you be so kind as to let me know as soon as you’ve found a solution? The Pin Layer feature is really cool, and I’d love to use it, but I’m following a “mobile-first” strategy. By the way, I think LayerSlider is an incredibly great tool!
