Could you please clarify what you mean by updating the license in WordPress?

If you mean entering or replacing your license key, you can do that in the LayerSlider plugin settings, in the license/activation section.

If you mean updating the plugin itself, please let us know how LayerSlider was installed and whether you already have an active license connected.
