I cannot seem to get video content seamlessly integrated into a slideshow that also includes slide with static images like jpegs. I've tried it as video layers and as html layers. Backgrounds don't allow video content.
When I do add video content there is an abrupt change in slideshow characteristics as the slideshow changes from static image slides to video content slides. It's making me crazy. Can you provide some guidance?
LayerSlider can mix regular image slides and video content in the same slider, but the “abrupt change” you’re describing usually depends on how the video is added and what settings differ between slides.
If you’re using a self-hosted HTML5 video, the recommended way is to add it as an Audio/Video layer, because that option also supports using the video as a background video (so it behaves much more like an image background). However, to give you the right guidance, we’ll need to understand what you’re trying to achieve exactly.
Could you please clarify a bit?
Do you want the video to act as the slide background (like a full-cover background image), or as a layer element on top of a background?
Where is the video hosted (self-hosted MP4/WebM, YouTube/Vimeo, etc.)?
What changes “abruptly” during the transition (size/layout, background scaling, height, autoplay/controls, something else)?
If you can share a link to the page (or a short screen recording showing the issue + the slider settings you used), we can point you to the exact setup and settings to make the transitions look consistent.
Hi guys,
Hope all is well with you.
