When you use a transition preset, it does not activate automatically just by selecting it – you must explicitly apply it.

1. Select the transition preset you want.

2. Click the checkmark icon on the right side of the preset name to apply it.

3. The preset will then be assigned to the text nodes (characters/letters).

From the screenshot, it looks like you are currently on Slide 2, while a static layer from Slide 1 is still visible. This is expected behavior, since static layers are designed to stay visible across multiple slides.

Could you please clarify what exactly you would like to achieve or fix here?

Once we know your goal, we can guide you to the correct setting.

In the editor, static layers are always visible by design, so this behavior is normal while editing.

However, if you don’t want to use a static layer at all, you can turn it off with the following steps:

• Select the layer

• Go to the right sidebar → Layers → Transitions

• Scroll all the way down

• Under Additional Settings, use the “Keep this layer visible” option

Once this option is set to "Until the end of this slide", the layer will no longer behave as a static layer and will only appear on its own slide.

This is normal behavior.

Slide transitions only animate the slide background. During a slide transition, layers are not part of the transition itself — they use their own ending transitions and animate out while the slide change happens. That’s why it may look like the content disappears and only a “blank page” is rotating.

To make this type of slide transition look correct, we recommend one of the following:

• Set a slide background image, or

• Use a gradient background color for the slide

This way, the rotating slide background will remain visible during the transition, similar to what you see in our examples.
