With the previous plugin version, the slider works correctly, but when I go to Browse Templates and try to use any template, I get a message saying that it’s not possible and that I need to update the plugin.
After updating to the latest version, the situation gets worse:
I can no longer access the Browse Templates section at all — the interface freezes.
If I try to create a new project from scratch, it stays stuck on the loading screen indefinitely and becomes unusable.
Could you please help me understand what’s causing this issue and how to fix it?
It appears that your site is either using a CDN or some form of server-side caching. Although LayerSlider is updated to version 8.0.1 in the admin area, your frontend still loads very old JS and CSS files from version 7.5.0. This mismatch is what causes the interface to freeze and prevents templates and new projects from loading.
We’re not sure whether you have access to the settings on your web hosting provider where your domain and site are hosted, but the issue most likely needs to be resolved there. Please try disabling the server-side cache or CDN temporarily, or clear all cached files on the hosting side so the latest LayerSlider assets can load properly.
Once the old files are no longer being served, everything should work as expected. Let us know if you need help checking anything further.

Hello jacopo,
This issue is most likely caused by a JavaScript error on your site.
Could you please create a temporary WordPress administrator account for us so we can check it directly?
You can use [email protected] as the email address when creating the account.
Once we have access, we’ll look into the problem and help you fix it as soon as possible.
