Hello, I’m experiencing issues with the slider on mobile. It only displays a blank space instead of my video content. As it isn’t functioning as described, I’d like to request a refund. Could you please clarify why this issue is occurring?
I see that a similar school is experiencing a similar issue on their home page on mobile: https://kingsmead.co.za/
We’ve tested the slider on an iPhone running iOS 18, and the video plays correctly on our end. Please note that mobile browsers, especially on iOS, have increasingly strict autoplay restrictions. If your video is not muted, or if the device is in Low Power Mode, autoplay might be blocked, which could result in a blank space.
We recommend ensuring that your video is muted and that Low Power Mode is turned off when testing.
I am struggling to get the video to show in the same aspect ratio as a device. Do you have training video on how to solve this issues or could you please help us fix it? Here is a website we want the video to display as https://kingsmead.co.za/
Every video has its own fixed aspect ratio, which almost never matches the device’s aspect ratio — for example, mobile screens can be portrait, while desktop browsers vary widely. That’s why LayerSlider’s slide background videos are designed to automatically fill the entire slider area, cropping slightly on the sides when necessary to maintain the correct proportions.
Could you please clarify what your preferred behavior would be?
Would you like the entire video to remain visible with black bars (letterboxing/pillarboxing), or do you prefer it to fill the slider completely even if some areas are cropped?
Once we know your preference, we can guide you through the exact settings to achieve it.
