Translating ARIA Labels in LayerSlider

    Dear Kreatura Team,

    I am currently working on making a WordPress website fully accessible and am using LayerSlider for various visual elements. While reviewing the slider’s navigation and controls, I noticed that the ARIA labels and other accessibility-related strings (such as “Jump to Slide”, “Stop slideshow”, etc.) are displayed in English.

    Since the website is in German, I would like to translate these strings to ensure a consistent and accessible user experience. However, I want to avoid directly editing plugin files, as these changes would be lost after updates.

    Could you please advise what the recommended method is for translating these ARIA labels and accessibility-related strings in a way that is update-safe?

    Does LayerSlider offer any built-in filter hooks or localization options for this purpose (e.g., layerslider_wp_strings)?

    Thank you for reaching out and for your kind words about LayerSlider.

    We appreciate your dedication to web accessibility and your attention to localization. At the moment, LayerSlider does not yet support translating accessibility-related ARIA labels. These strings are currently hardcoded in English.

    However, we fully recognize the importance of this functionality, and we’re pleased to let you know that support for translating these strings is already planned and will be introduced in an upcoming release of LayerSlider. This enhancement will make it easier to create fully localized and accessible slider experiences without modifying plugin files.
