How to Dynamically Resize Text after translation via a Language Translation Plugin

    Hello,

I’m using Layerslider 7 on a Wordpress platform running an Enfold theme. I’ve installed a GTranslate plugin to provide translation. Some translations, mostly from English to Japanese, have exceeded the original defined height boundaries.

For example, in my project’s Layers->style->size, the width is set at 550px and the height 115px.

The English text fits within these boundaries. However, the Japanese translated text maintains the width set at 550px, but exceeds the height – i.e., the English text grows from 2 lines with a 50px font size to 4 lines of Japanese text which also appears to be of a larger font size.

This is an issue because the vertically expanded translated text overlaps the body of text below.

Is there a way to resize translated text (e.g., adjust font size) to display within the predefined width and height boundaries – either via current project settings, adding CSS code within the project or adding html, css and or javascript code to existing php files?

Thank you and look forward to your reply.

    Cheers,

    Cedric

    Hello Cedric,

No, unfortunately there is no option for that. I suggest you to use a bit smaller font size / line height. And if you remove the height setting of the text layer, it will expand if it needs.
