Compatibility with Popup Maker

    Hello,

I am a novice website developer. I’m working on a Wordpress platform, using Enfold theme. Additionally, I’m using your LayerSlider 7 plugin, along with the Popup Maker plugin and its ancillary Popup Maker – Advanced Theme Builder (a separate plugin).  Currently, I’m using Local by Flywheel to host my project locally.

My objective: link a LayerSlider button (part of LayerSlider Project A) to a Popup created using Popup Maker that using a short code/url, popmake-2822. I insert this url into the Link > Set Link Field belonging to the Button Layer.  Embedded in the Popup is another Layer Slider Project B, which displays inside the Popup Maker popup.

Initially, this approach worked.  However, as of today, this no longer works. I get a “Nothing Found mssg. Sorry, the post your looking for is not available.”

An interesting observation I made is that if “Choose Post or Page” is selected, only the existing pages, posts, and attachments created/loaded into the Enfold Theme (using Avia Page Builder) are shown.

My point is that this function does not also show a list of the available popups within Popup Maker. As a result, I’m inputting the link manually as mentioned above. Intuitively, I would have expected this functionality, thereby allowing me to select the desired popup, instead of having to manually input the url.

In contrast, Popup Maker does displays a LayerSlider icon, which allows me to select projects for a list.

This suggests (to me) that Popup Maker has awareness of Layerslider, whereas Layerslider does not have awareness of Popup Maker.

I’ve been at a standstill for 4 days. Any assistance you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you and I look forward to hearing from you.

    Cheers,

    Cedric

    Hello Cedric,

The 'Choose post or page" is a function to embed dynamic content from WordPress postos/pages. (But: if the popups created with Popup Maker would be regularry WordPress posts, they would be also listed.)

Popups created with Popup Maker have custom CSS class names, I think. These class names cannot be used in Link -> Set link field, since this field requires valid URL.

Instead of that, you should use the Attributes -> Common Attributes -> Class field

    That should do the trick.
