    Hello,

I designed a new slider for my site using one of the templates off LayerSlider however, when I switch the slider on our site to the new one in the WP dashboard our site shows the slider as the original template with none of my edits. My changes are saved and viewable on LayerSlider. Any ideas?

    Hello,

Thank you for getting in touch with us. My name is John, and I'm happy to assist you today.

There are usually two potential reasons why you can experience problems like this:

    • Please make sure to publish the changes in the editor instead of just saving them as a draft. You shouldn't see a yellow Publish button at the bottom right corner of the editor.
    • The other reason is some type of caching. This could be the web browser cache, but more likely, a caching/website optimizer plugin installed on your site or a caching feature you might have enabled in your WordPress theme. If you're using a CDN such as Cloudflare, you might also need to purge the cache in their service manually.

That worked. I missed that completely.

However, is there a way to override my theme setting in the CSS? I have the dimensions of this slider much slenderer. The website theme is expanding it. Please let me know.

Your website is unreachable for me at the moment, so I'm not sure exactly what the issue can be. I'd recommend trying the various layout options under the Project Settings → Layout menu. Maybe you're looking for the Full-width option, which does not allow the slider to be taller than what's set for the Canvas Height.
