Layerslider has always come bundled with a theme I use "Aurum". After updating the theme today, I attempted to update the bundled layerslider plugin, which worked, but it refused to activate. I then went ahead and purchased Layerslider directly from you in the hope that this would help. The version number updated from 7.7.7 (bundled plugin) to 7.7.9 as downloaded from your site, but it still refuses to activate (although it seems to think it has - but still remains unactivated.)
I've restored to a backup and will try again with updates. I've managed to register layerslider on the restored version. Will try upgrading plugins again soon.

I now have shortcodes where sliders used to be :(
