You cannot specify different initial sizes for different devices, but if you choose full size layout, the slider will always fit into the screen size. In this case you can use device specific layers (with different initial positions/sizes and/or content).
The other option is to create two sliders: one for desktop and one for mobile devices. The visibility of these two sliders can be set by the Hide Under / Hide Over options in the Project Settings.
How to set the project so that the mobile display mode changes the slide area to 1080x1080 px. (The desktop display should remain in wide view)
