Limited availability during the holidays
Another busy year is coming to its end, and an exciting year lies ahead. In order to get ready for a fresh new start, our team will spend a few days' rest during the winter holidays. Over the holiday break, we will have reduced staffing from December 20th, 2024, to January 5th, 2025, so please be patient if you do not receive a response as quickly as you normally would.
We send our warmest wishes for happiness, health, and success throughout the coming year. Thank you for your continued support, and may you have a peaceful and blessed Happy Holidays!
After your present update the slider disappeared from
my website and I did not find out what the problem is. I saw that the shortcode
has been changed but also with the changed short code the layer does not appear
again.
Hello Torsten,
Thank you for getting in touch with us. My name is George and I'm happy to assist you today. I appreciate your patience while we've been working towards your ticket.
I've checked the related URL: https://www.steinbeck-media.de/ and for me, the slider is working fine. It is inserted twice, but working without any issues.
Best Regards,

Hi George,
yes is inserted the shortcode twice because I tried another option but without success.
I don't understand why you can see the slider, I do not in all different Browsers, see attachement
best regards
Torsten
Hello Torsten,
We've tested your site on multiple devices with all available browsers, and it was working as expected. I believe this might be a caching issue. Are you using any optimizer plugin or a CDN service? If so, please try to empty/purge the caches everywhere.
If it's not a caching issue, it may be a browser extension that affects your computer, but these issues are extremely rare.
Also, can you please check on the affected computer to see if the web browser's JavaScript console shows any error messages?

I have the problem in all of my 3 Browser on the Notebook (Chrome, Firefox, Edge) so it can't be a problem of the Browser. ON another Notebook it shows the Slider but the Layout has been changed into a box...I have no idea whats going on...
I also have zje problem in a different kind on a macbook, see screenhoot attached and on an ipad and iphone so there must be a probolem with your plug in
How can I install a privous version to check? Can you give me a link or file for a privious version?
now with the screenshoot attached
Attached files: layer slider on mac.jpg
by the way your screenshoot shows a boxed version of the layer slider but it was going over the complete Screen so anyway there is a failure somewhere
Now I have created a new slider and imported the old slider pages and now it works so there must have been a problem with the old slider by update.
its not yet perfect but a solution is near.
if you improve your plugin you should not try to make to many things too fast totally new - at the end it chrashes...
Hello Torsten,
Maybe, it was a caching issue. If you are using a cache/optimizer plugin, the cache should be cleared after LayerSlider is updated.

I probably found he reason.
I work over a notebook with docking station and this notebook has a touchscreen like a tablet and I used the setting that the slider should not be dispayed on Smartphone and Tablet so the program identified my notebook as tablet and did not show the Layer Slider in no browser on my notebook.
I still have the problem what to do when I want to use another Slider for Smartphone and Tablet. In this case I must insert 2 Slider with different configurations but this does not yet work as exptected until now.
best regards
Torsten
Oh, that makes sense. I didn't realize that specific setting of your slider.
