Can no longer save my work

It started with my previous version (6.9 I believe). Occasionally the SAVE feature would generate an error message. Then it would be ok again. it was doing it on and off. I decided to upgrade to the latest version hoping that would cure the issue. But to no avail. It is now giving me the error message systematically. The error message itself says "your http server thrown the following error: " but there is no error code! It was also recommending to check the System status. As a matter of fact there was an issue with the PHP Post file size ( 16 M). I brought it up to 36M and the issue has now disappeared. But I still can't save my work. LAst but not least I have not installed any new plugin in quite a while and I enjoyed using your plugin without any issue until now.

    Hi Bruno,

Thank you for getting in touch with us. My name is John, and I'm happy to assist you today. I appreciate your patience while we've been working toward your ticket.

Issues like this are almost always caused by server configuration problems. It can be a PHP error, but it's more likely an issue with the web server software (Apache, Nginx, etc.). Since nobody can access these settings except the hosting company, only they can help you resolve it, and I recommend contacting them.

The reason why the issue was occasional is likely due to some content filtering and security-related configurations. Hosting companies sometimes impose limits on the request size, meaning that saving smaller sliders work without an issue, but larger sliders consuming more data might not. These are usually achieved by using a module called mod_security, which is a common source of similar issues. Since these settings are hidden from everyone other than the hosting company, only they can help identify the problem and change the necessary settings.

    Hi John,

Thank you so much for your help. You are absolutely right and after consulting with my server admin, he identified a size limit that affected Layerslider. So it is now fixed and I can enjoy the new interface:-)

    Cheers
