Limited availability during the holidays
Another busy year is coming to its end, and an exciting year lies ahead. In order to get ready for a fresh new start, our team will spend a few days' rest during the winter holidays. Over the holiday break, we will have reduced staffing from December 20th, 2024, to January 5th, 2025, so please be patient if you do not receive a response as quickly as you normally would.
We send our warmest wishes for happiness, health, and success throughout the coming year. Thank you for your continued support, and may you have a peaceful and blessed Happy Holidays!
Hello, the layerslider on https://dietzmarket.com gets stuck after clicking between slides numerous times. There are five slides accessible through the left side stacked menu. I can click around in them about four times then on the fifth click the slider stops updating. Further clicks on other slides causes it to break down more and more until the entire slide group goes missing. This seems to be a new problem since the latest update. There was another problem with end transitions that I was able to identify and resolve through your knowledgebase but I'm not finding anything pertaining to this issue where it seems to stall and break. Thank you for any help you can provide.
Hi James,
Thank you for getting in touch with us. My name is John, and I'm happy to assist you today. I appreciate your patience while we've been working toward your ticket.
It seems your layers don't have an Ending Transition that would move them out of the scene on slide change. The old behavior was a bug in LayerSlider that version 7.5 addressed. Layers must have an Ending Transition; otherwise, they will act as static layers. You can easily multi-select all layers on slides and enable their Ending Transition in a single step.
Also, you can consider using static layers for your left navigation area since there's no need to include those layers on every slide again and again. However, the large image next to them must have an Ending Transition. Otherwise, they won't animate out, and they start to stockpile and cover each other.

Many thanks John! I thought I'd assigned the end transition to everything but your tip about multiselecting found some that I'd missed. It seems to be working perfectly now.
Is there a tutorial you can point me to regarding changing my left navigation to a static layer? I'd love to not have to update it in every slide whenever things are changed.

Under the LAYERS → TRANSITION menu, scroll down to the bottom and select "Forever" for the "Keep this layer visible" option. This ensures that the selected layers will never animate out and will be visible across all slides. I'd do this for the navigation items on the first slide, then delete their counterparts on other slides. After that, you'd have the same setup minus the active state. For that reason, you should probably keep some of the layers.
Layers on a slide will always cover static layers from other slides. You can change that under the LAYERS → STYLE → Advanced Settings → Stacking order option.
