Limited availability during the holidays
Another busy year is coming to its end, and an exciting year lies ahead. In order to get ready for a fresh new start, our team will spend a few days' rest during the winter holidays. Over the holiday break, we will have reduced staffing from December 20th, 2024, to January 5th, 2025, so please be patient if you do not receive a response as quickly as you normally would.
We send our warmest wishes for happiness, health, and success throughout the coming year. Thank you for your continued support, and may you have a peaceful and blessed Happy Holidays!
Need help replacing the front page image with a new image I created in photoshop..
Hello Michael,
Thank you for getting in touch with us. My name is George and I'm happy to assist you today. I appreciate your patience while we've been working towards your ticket.
If you would like to change the slide image on the first slide, you should go to SLIDE -> BACKGROUND and click on the BACKGROUND IMAGE box (with possibly the thumbnail of your current slide image). Now you can select the new image of the Media Library.
Best Regards,

Hi George,
When I do exactly as you say, o get an error message that says: “ sorry you are not allowed to upload this file type.” The file type is jpg and the file size is 45.1 MB.
Hi Michael,
I'm John taking over this ticket from George.
This error message is coming from WordPress itself, and it's not related to LayerSlider. We're using WordPress' native Media Library, so this error would be present on your entire site, no matter where you'd try to upload that image.
As I can see on the screenshot, you're using a Media Library plugin that adds extra functionality to it. That plugin and its settings might be the reason why this is happening.
Another reason I can think of is the MIME type of the image. WordPress doesn't care about file extensions; it will check the file type. Images downloaded from the internet sometimes use the wrong file extension, but you wouldn't notice it usually since most apps can handle that. WordPress has a list of allowed file types, which can be changed from 3rd party plugins, and it might be the reason for this error message. You can also try to load the image into an image editor and save/export it as a new file, so it'll have the right file type if that's the issue.
Best Regards,
