This affects all instances of LayerSlider on my site. through this page you can access many pages that I use layer slider on:? https://mikefieldsbronzes.com/portfolio/ Also the homepage. This happens on pc and mobile. I have experience the following issue for several years.
About 50% of the time I have to reload the page and then the slider loads. Otherwise it is blank. Since the slider is at the top of my pages it is very detrimental to my site to have an entire blank section at the top.
The fact that the text overlay loads may be some hint to the issue. See attached.
I paid for support just for this issue so please help ASAP. Thank you!!
I think I've found the problem. As I can see, you are using a plugin for managing embedded YouTube videos. The problem is that this plugin is trying to override the settings of the embedded videos inside your slider, and in some cases, it causes a JavaScript error that breaks the proper working of all scripts and plugins on your site.
I am not sure if that plugin is required for your site, but I would recommend you disable it. Or maybe it can be configured that it should exclude videos in LayerSlider projects.
I am sorry, I've forgot to mention that - as I can see - you're also using different a plugin which is caching the javascript files and merging/combining them into one file. After you deactivate the Embed plus plugin, you should clear the cache files and maybe you will need to regenerate the merged js file. This should solve the issue. I can help you with that if you can create me a temporary wp-admin access.
After many attempts and thoroughly checking your site and admin page, I've found, that your web server (nginx) has a built-in caching system which cannot be configured/cleared from wp-admin. The provider should have a dashboard where you can access this setting. The issue with this is the following: even if I change anything on your site, it won't take effect. So I am sorry, but I couldn't properly debug the issue.
Success! (I hope so :-) ) I've logged in and disabled the "SuperCacher" under Speed/Caching That did the trick. For me, everything is working fine, the videos are playing, there are no more JavaScript errors on the site. Could you, please clear your browser caches and check it?
I am not sure about that, unfortunately I don't really know how does it work. I think, you can try to enable it and if the issues won't appear again, you can keep it enabled.

George,
Thanks for taking a look. I deactivated " Embed Plus Plugin for YouTube" but still get the following:
Also, is the fact the text layer in the bottom left loads, but the video doesn't a hint?

Hi George,
Would you be willing to login into my host to debug? Sorry, to push, I have been dealing with this for a couple years and it basically wrecks my site.
Hello Mike,
Yes, if you would like, I will try to debug/solve this issue for you.

Hey Mike,
Could you, please send me also the authentication code (it was sent to your email address).

ooh Thank you!!
I checked and don't see any issues as of yet.
q: will the supercacher have to remain disabled or is that just for debugging?
I am not sure about that, unfortunately I don't really know how does it work. I think, you can try to enable it and if the issues won't appear again, you can keep it enabled.
