Limited availability during the holidays
Another busy year is coming to its end, and an exciting year lies ahead. In order to get ready for a fresh new start, our team will spend a few days' rest during the winter holidays. Over the holiday break, we will have reduced staffing from December 20th, 2024, to January 5th, 2025, so please be patient if you do not receive a response as quickly as you normally would.
We send our warmest wishes for happiness, health, and success throughout the coming year. Thank you for your continued support, and may you have a peaceful and blessed Happy Holidays!
Hi a long time ago in a previous version of layerslider the slider sat neatly under the drop down navigation element on this site.
No since updating it is sat over the top rendering the dropdown nav elements useless.
Can you help with this please.
Hello Dee,
Thank you for getting in touch with us. My name is Andrea, and I'm happy to assist you today. I appreciate your patience while we've been working towards your ticket.
There was probably no such change in the LayerSlider, which caused the issue. I rather think something changed in your theme, but I can give you a solution.
You can set the slider to under the navigation element if you give it a low value of z-index. You can do it in Project Settings -> Appearance -> Project Appearance -> Custom Project CSS field. Please type to here:
z-index: 1;

Hiya Andrea
That's done it. I wasn't away that the custom css box was for changing the way the slider appeared in the theme I assumed that was more to do with the settings for the slider element itself.
I had been trying to apply a z-index value from within my theme and I assume the slider was overriding it.
Thanks anyway - all fixed now.
I'm glad to hear that the problem is now solved.
Please let me know if I can help you with anything else!
Best Regards,
Andrea | Kreatura Support Team
