This is a common symptom of an image preloader, which is often used as part of a cache or site optimizer plugin. It might also be in the WordPress theme you're using. LayerSlider supports many image preloaders, but they can be problematic in some cases.
When you're viewing your site as an administrator, these kinds of plugins usually serve fresh and real-time results with optimizations turned off. That could easily explain why the issue only presents itself if you're not logged in.
Please review your installed plugins. You can easily try out which one causes the troubles by temporarily disabling it.
Layerslider shows up fine when I am logged in but if I view the site not logged in or incognito no images show. Just empty white space.

I was able to get this fixed. I'm not certain which plugin was the cause but it seems to be working now.
I'm glad to hear that the issue is now resolved. Please let me know if I can help you with anything else.
