Based on the error message, it seems the WordPress theme you're using is interfering with serving updates. Since many WordPress themes offer and bundle LayerSlider, theme authors might want to handle plugin updates on their own, and their implementation of serving plugin updates can interfere with ours. If that's the case, there's little we can do from our side other than contacting the theme author and finding a solution together.

But there are some workarounds you can try to remedy this situation. One way is to temporarily switching to another theme, then visiting Dashboard -> Updates on your WordPress admin interface and trying to install the update again. Another workaround would be manually installing the update.
