Hello, I am using wordpress with Elementor PRO and I used the slider for the header. When I insert the slide in Elementor everything looks fine - but when I view it on the website the background image is totally distorted. How can I fix this? Thanks a lot Best regards marcel
I think, that maybe you are using an image optimizer or lazy loader plugin which can cause an issue like this. LayerSlider handles the responsiveness of its images, so you don't need to use a 3rd party plugin for that.
The slider should work with Elementor Pro - we are always testing with Elementor and other site builders.
unfortunately I don't have a plugin running there anymore - I usually use nitro to increase the speed of the website. However, I just deactivated it and unfortunately nothing changes.
My settings are as follows: - Layout: Full Width -Skin: V6
Layout in Layerslider: Responsive Width: 1280 Height: 600 Max Width: 100
I think that the problem is (was?) that you set max-width to 100 which means 100 pixels, not 100 percent. I can see that you already told me that before, but honestly, I didn’t even notice that the percentage wasn’t there.
unfortunately, it's still the same problem. Slowly I am really in doubt whether the tool is right for me. It can not be that I now sit for days on the same problem. It is still completely distorted
As I've investigated more this issue, I figured out that the theme itself causing the problem. It is trying to set the aspect ratio of the images automatically (and it is trying to use 16:9 aspect ratio). With this theme, unfortunately, the BG image will be distorted. But again: it is not a bug in our plugin. I am sorry for your inconvenience. If you could change to another theme (included other free themes in WP), it would work without any issue. We will try to find a solution for this of course, but this is also new information for us, too.
Hey George, thank you for the feedback. I'm currently using the Canvas theme from Elementor directly - have now switched to "full width". Unfortunately that had no effect whatsoever. What can we do about this?
I am sorry, I am talking about the current theme under Design / Themes. You are using one of the default themes of WordPress, called Twenty Twenty-One. Changing to Twenty Nineteen will solve this issue.

Could you, please create me a temporary wp-admin access? I would like to check your slider's settings.
