    Good morning,
I'm trying to optimize our website and I'm having difficulty with google's Web Vitals, especially with CLS.

The home page with the slider has a "Cumulative Layout Shift" of 0.206.
The problem is only in the "mobile" version.
The problem, I believe, is a resizing of the height of the slider when loading the page.

I send you a photo of a sample page with the google pagespeedinsight report.

Do you know if and how it can be solved?
    Thanks so much
    Daniele

    Hello Daniele,

Thank you for using our product and we are sorry for the delayed reply.

Unfortunately, this is how LayerSlider works. The slider must be responsive so it should resize itself to display properly on mobile devices. This happens after 'document ready' and it may affect render time a bit. But this should not be noticeable to users. You can speed up the loading/starting time of the slider by the following way: please go to slider settings, check the advanced switch, then set the Initial Fade Duration under Appearance to 0.

    Best Regards,

Hi George and thank you very much for your reply.
My problem is not with the users, the program is great and the slides are great.

The problem is with google's web core vitals.
I did not understand, you are telling me that using layerslide there is no possibility Pass Google’s Core Web Vitals on our wordPress Site?

    Let me know
    thank you again

    Hello Daniele,

I think if you would like to have a modern website with animations, effects, and maybe interactive things on it, there is almost impossible to pass these tests. For example, if you check an ordinary page of Apple (https://pagespeed.web.dev/report?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.apple.com%2Fiphone-13-pro%2F) it will fail most of the page speed tests on mobile devices. But it doesn't mean that the page is slow or unusable for users. If you have a modern website with the latest technologies, these tests will fail in most cases.

And believe me, this is not about that, I would like to convince you that our product is very good, but we are always trying to optimize LayerSlider for the best performance.

    Best Regards,
