There seem to be some issues related to your implementation of transitions (animations). I am trying to create a transition on a layer where there is a start, middle, and end transition. Something simple like fade in (start), do nothing for 2 seconds (middle, or loop as you refer to it), and then fade out (end). I have tried a number of settings to make the END start when the MIDDLE (loop) completes. I managed to get it to work for one layer, but even after applying the same settings, I have been unable to get this to work.
See the attachments for what I mean. The "We'reGettingBigger..." layer is doing what I want it to do, and I want this same kind of animation throughout, for many layers, but as of now, I'm stuck just trying to get the "TODAY" layer to do the same thing. Your documentation is incredibly light on details, there are no examples, no videos, and no working versions that I can find. Basically, no real reference material.
Please help.

EDIT: I found that you HAVE to apply a value for the "With Modifier" option, even if it's still zero (0). Leaving it empty, or what I presumed was the default of 0 doesn't work, and the transitions won't be applied. This is really bad UX.
If you need a layer to animate in, wait for X seconds and animate out, you should do the following: - Please set the opening transition as you would like. - You don't need to set a loop / middle transition since you don't want a "transition", you want a layer which needs to wait X seconds - Please set the ending transition properties and set "start when" property to "Opening transition completes", set the "width modifier" to + 2000 (if you want to wait 2 seconds).
Yeah not quite, but I figured it out anyways. It's still bad UX since it's assumed the "WITH modifier" default is 0ms AFTER the "Start When" property, but this is not the case. There is no default value, so if you want a value of 0ms, you actually have to set it.
No, you don't need to set it. It is enough to set the "start when" property to "Opening transition completes" and leave the modifier empty. In this case the layer will animate out as soon as the opening transition ended.
That has not been my experience. And you can argue with me about it, or you can send it back for testing and QA. In any case, the fact is the documentation leaves a LOT to be desired, and there are some UX issues that need to be resolved.
You are right: we need a better documentation and we are working on it. Tutorial videos also will be available soon. I have tested the feature we are talked about and it worked for me as expected.

Hello Tom,
If you need a layer to animate in, wait for X seconds and animate out, you should do the following:
- Please set the opening transition as you would like.

I hope this is what you need.
