Hello, I use an older WP version 4.9.18 because my theme is not ready for WP 5.x and I got the information that an update is available (7.0.4).

After installing the update I can't use the slider in backend anymore. No reaction on clicks, cannot close windows, cannot save anything.

Does version 7.0.4 still work with WP 4.9.18?

It would be really bad for me if not...

    Hello Elmar,

Yes, it should work, but maybe there is an incompatibility with another plugin.
Could you, please create a temporary wp-admin access for me? I would like to check what's wrong.
    Thank you.

    Hello George,

thank you for answering my question.

I did setup a fresh WP 4.9.18 installation with just two plugins (Wordfence & LayerSlider 7.0.4) to test it.

I have the same problems in that installation.
It is when I open a project and try to switch to another slide to edit it there is an error thrown in the developer tools console and the selected slide is not visible to edit. I only see the first slide:

Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read properties of undefined (reading 'clear')
        at HTMLInputElement.<anonymous> (ls-project-editor-min.js?ver=7.0.4:5)
at Function.each (eval at <anonymous> (eval at <anonymous> (eval at <anonymous> (eval at <anonymous> (eval at <anonymous> (eval at <anonymous> (eval at <anonymous> (eval at <anonymous> (eval at <anonymous> (eval at <anonymous> (eval at <anonymous> (eval at <anonymous> (load-scripts.php?c=1&load[]=jquery-core,jquery-migrate,utils,moxiejs,plupload&ver=4.9.18:2)))))))))))), <anonymous>:2:2903)

        at Object.buildSlide (ls-project-editor-min.js?ver=7.0.4:5)
        at Object.selectSlide (ls-project-editor-min.js?ver=7.0.4:1)
        at HTMLElement.<anonymous> (ls-project-editor-min.js?ver=7.0.4:5)
        at HTMLDivElement.dispatch (load-scripts.php?c=1&load[]=jquery-core,jquery-migrate,utils,moxiejs,plupload&ver=4.9.18:3)
        at HTMLDivElement.r.handle (load-scripts.php?c=1&load[]=jquery-core,jquery-migrate,utils,moxiejs,plupload&ver=4.9.18:3)

Also I noticed that when the project is open and I click on "PROJECT SETTINGS" there is no chance to close any window. You have to edit the url to get back to WP dashboard.

I did setup a temporary wp-admin access for you. (Login data I send you in a next private message here).

    Hello Elmar,

We find the issue, it is related to a very old version of jQuery (which has been used by WordPress 4.9). We will try to fix this in the next update. In  the meantime, you can try to update the jQuery of WordPress to the latest version - it should solve that issue. Or if you need that old version of jQuery, we recommend to use LayerSlider 6, while we fix that.

We are sorry for your inconveniences.
