Limited availability during the holidays

Another busy year is coming to its end, and an exciting year lies ahead. In order to get ready for a fresh new start, our team will spend a few days' rest during the winter holidays. Over the holiday break, we will have reduced staffing from December 20th, 2024, to January 5th, 2025, so please be patient if you do not receive a response as quickly as you normally would.

We send our warmest wishes for happiness, health, and success throughout the coming year. Thank you for your continued support, and may you have a peaceful and blessed Happy Holidays!

Hi there! I'm trying to configure my slider to have each slide show a slightly different image for each of the responsive breakpoints: desktop / tablet / mobile. I don't see an option to do that directly with the main slide images, however, I see I can show alternative layers for each slide's desktop/tablet/mobile size. If I use an Image content type for each of 3 layers for each slide without setting any main slide background image, I'm almost there. However, I then lose the normal slide transitions. Is there a way to make the Image Content layer present in the same way that a normal image background slide would? I just don't want the big white space for the second it takes for the layer to begin to present.

On the URL with this ticket, just the first slide is set up this way currently. The other two slides are normal background-image slides with CrossFade transitions.

    Thanks! David

    Hi LayerSlider support,

A quick update on this issue - I would still like your suggestions, but here's what I did for now: I found the "Time Shift" option for each slide where I wanted to use just the image in the layer instead of a slide background image. I was able to set that to -1000, and that eliminated the "white flash" that occurs otherwise. I know this probable isn't the best way, but it works for now. Please let me know if you have some better ideas!

    Thank you, David

    Hello David,

Thank you for getting in touch with us!

Unfortunately, slide transitions are available for the background-images only.
The image layers transitions are different.

I would have suggested you to create two different sliders, one optimized for phone and one for desktop. In the slider settings / mobile tab, you can show or hide the slider for specific devices with the hide under/over option.

However, your current solution is maybe better.

Thanks, Kristof, I appreciate the response! I do think that having multiple sliders would give me better control. I'm working within the bounds of a specific WP theme that allows me to just select one slider for use in the home page header - there might be a way around that by modifying the php template, but I'm not anxious to go down that road.

Thanks again for the confirmation. So far I'm content with the way this is working. Have a great day!

    David
