Hello, We are using LayerSlider on our classifieds site to display banner ads from our advertisers.
I would like to be able to give my clients feedback on the number of times their banner was clicked. Is there a way to count the number of clicks on a slider? Like a tracking? Is it a function implemented in LayerSlider with some code or some process? Or do I have to go through another third-party plugin?
I have found plugins capable of counting the number of clicks on a url or on a media file from the wordpress library. But nothing that allows you to count a Shortcode Slider. Do you have a solution ? Thank you for your comeback. Regards.
Thank you. I actually found the solution with Google Tag Manager. For those who are interested, here is the link of an excellent video on Youtube on the tracking of clicks to external links. Outbond links.

Hello Kim,
Thank you for getting in touch with us!
There is no built-in option to track clicks in LayerSlider.
You should try to achieve this with google analytics events. You can read more about it on this link:

Thank you for your comeback. Google events calls are made with script. But I can't see where to enter script in my slider?
Hello,
You can add onclick attribute for the layers in the links & attributes tab / custom attributes.
