Limited availability during the holidays
Another busy year is coming to its end, and an exciting year lies ahead. In order to get ready for a fresh new start, our team will spend a few days' rest during the winter holidays. Over the holiday break, we will have reduced staffing from December 20th, 2024, to January 5th, 2025, so please be patient if you do not receive a response as quickly as you normally would.
We send our warmest wishes for happiness, health, and success throughout the coming year. Thank you for your continued support, and may you have a peaceful and blessed Happy Holidays!
Hi. I've been through the documentation and couldn't find any details on how to make alternative sliders for smaller devices. My slider now works well on all devices but on the phone I want bigger texts. I assumed the 3 buttons for each device would give you a different set of views but it doesn't seem to work that way. Can you please point me to some information on this?
Thanks,
Jim
Hello,
Thank you for getting in touch with us!
Since version 6 of LayerSlider you have the option to display layers only on certain devices (desktop, mobile, tablet). This feature is called device specific layers, and it gives you the option to create separate layers for mobile, tablet and desktop view in the same slide, and only show them on the required device. This only changes the slider on the layer level. It is possible to set min.mobile font size in the layer styles.
Additionally to the device specific layers, you could also build two sliders with different sizes or with different content/layout for desktop and mobile, include them both to the site, and only display them (using the Hide over and Hide under options in the Slider Settings / Mobile tab) on the required device. You can change every slider option this way. So this gives you more control, but requires more work.

Thanks, Kristof.
Knowing what to look for made it much easier for me to find how to duplicate the text layers and make the mobile versions larger. You can close this ticket.
Cheers,
Jim
