Apologies if this is a daft question - I've purchased my license but how do I activate it? Your FAQs screenshots are showing activation boxes in the basic Layer Slider menu on my WP dashboard. But my menu has nothing below the slider options except for "LayerSlider news", and I can't seem to find any other activation area in the settings?

As I see you use The7 theme, which hide the activation box for the users. I suggest you to remove the theme bundled version of the plugin and then install the latest version of the plugin which you can download from your account on our website. https://account.kreaturamedia.com/
After that the activation box should be appear. Don't worry, the sliders are stored in the database so you will not lost them after this manually updating.
