when logged in as an admin all my layersliders work and show on various pages. when i am not logged in as an admin, they do not. i see lots of jquery not defined errors in the dev console of the browser when not logged in, but zero when i'm an admin.
the very top of the homepage of http://secureed.com is a layerslider as are the two bottom sections. again...nothing shows up.
You should try to enable the LayerSlider WP -> Options -> Settings -> include scripts in the footer.
Since the issue is not persist for admin, then it's probably related to a 3rd party plugin. Issues could be related to other plugins/themes and their settings. We often ask our customers to temporarily disable other plugins and switch to one of the default WP themes. This way we can quickly eliminate external and 3rd party factors. If it solves the problem, you can find which item caused the trouble by re-enabling them one-by-one and watching when the issue comes back.
I suggest you to remove the defer attribute from your jQuery script to solve the javascript issues on your site. Probably it is related to a 3rd party plugin or a setting in your theme.
i updated the child theme (enfold) to the latest version and that, somehow, fixed the problem. probably some wordpress 5.6 jquery updates that needed to be version matched with the same in the theme

Hello Chris,
Thank you for the access!
As I see the issue caused by that the jQuery loaded to your site with defer attribute. https://www.w3schools.com/tags/att_script_defer.asp
