I was happy with my Layer slider world map that worked fine on a computer screen as well as a tablet and a phone. But yesterday I looked at it on a laptop screen, and found that there was no scaling at all, so the background map was now bigger than the screen and some of the layers were hidden behind other layers.

Is there a way to scale the whole slider so it fits a laptop screen, yet still retains its proportions?

    Hello Lars,

Thank you for getting in touch with us!

The problem caused by that you use a full-size slider and probably your laptop height is small.
I suggest you to reduce the logo and header size because it's too big.
Other option is that if you change the type to responsive instead of full-size. Please check it.

    Kristof,

I've made some compromise to make it fit, and selected the responsive layout. But now my problem is that the phone version is hiding most of the layer. It only displays exactly what is seen in the preview, which is about one third of the phone screen. I know that there is some information below what you can see in the preview, how do I make that visible on the phone?

    Hello Lars,

    Thank you for the answer!

Since version 6 of LayerSlider you have the option to display layers only on certain devices (desktop, mobile, tablet). This feature is called device specific layers, and it gives you the option to create separate layers for mobile, tablet and desktop view in the same slide, and only show them on the required device. This only changes the slider on the layer level.

Additionally to the device specific layers, you could also build two sliders with different sizes or with different content/layout for desktop and mobile, include them both to the site, and only display them (using the Hide over and Hide under options in the Slider Settings) on the required device. You can change every slider option this way.  So if the full-size slider would better in mobile, then you should use it on mobile and the responsive on desktop and tablet.
