You can reach the Skin Editor by clicking to Options in LayerSlider WP side menu. Please note, that editing a skin requires some basic CSS knowledge.
As I see now some CSS rule overwrite the navigation buttons, that's why it looks weird. These css code are related to your theme. You should try to add the slider with shortcode for example or remove the rules which are related to the LayerSlider from your theme's CSS file.
