Limited availability during the holidays
Another busy year is coming to its end, and an exciting year lies ahead. In order to get ready for a fresh new start, our team will spend a few days' rest during the winter holidays. Over the holiday break, we will have reduced staffing from December 20th, 2024, to January 5th, 2025, so please be patient if you do not receive a response as quickly as you normally would.
We send our warmest wishes for happiness, health, and success throughout the coming year. Thank you for your continued support, and may you have a peaceful and blessed Happy Holidays!
Hello!
There's an option to disable "Audio Play Muted" on slides with video. Even if I disable this option my slides still play muted when first played. I want my videos to play with audio from the beginning.
Please help
Thanks
Hello Rodrigo,
Thank you for getting in touch with us!
Unfortunately, Google prevents autoplay for the videos which are not muted. So if you would like to use audio when it first played, then you should disable the autoplay feature.
If you will have any other question, feel free to ask.
Best Regards,

I'm having a similar issue. In Google Chrome the audio plays as programed just fine. On Apple Safari the audio will not auto play and half the time it won't unmute, either.
P.S. The files that will play on Safari when unmute is selected are MP3's. The Files that won't play on Safari are M4A.
Hi Adam,
If you select to play unmuted with autoplay, then this can happen in any browser nowadays. Please make sure to not force sound with autoplay, then LayerSlider should handle it automatically based on what the browser allows it to do.
Browser makers wanted a way to prevent unwanted autoplays with sound as it can be really irritating for visitors and there are some infamous sites that abused this. The common pattern is that autoplay with sound is allowed if users has interacted with the site. If you've clicked on a button or visited the site previously on numerous occasions, then sound is allowed. Otherwise you can only autoplay without sound or the browser will block the autoplay feature. This can result some erratic behavior that can easily confuse even developers since browsers constantly change what they allow, when they allow, and for whom they allow certain features.
