Limited availability during the holidays
Another busy year is coming to its end, and an exciting year lies ahead. In order to get ready for a fresh new start, our team will spend a few days' rest during the winter holidays. Over the holiday break, we will have reduced staffing from December 20th, 2024, to January 5th, 2025, so please be patient if you do not receive a response as quickly as you normally would.
We send our warmest wishes for happiness, health, and success throughout the coming year. Thank you for your continued support, and may you have a peaceful and blessed Happy Holidays!
We update the wordpress version to 5.5 and now we can't see the sliders on the website.
Could you help me please.
Kind regards,
Samuele
Hello Samuele,
Thank you for getting in touch with us!
As I see there is a javascript error on your site, which is not related to LayerSlider but it can cause this problem with the initialization. You should disable the autooptimize for testing and detect the location of the wrong code. After that the slider should work properly.
Please check it.

I disabled autoptimize, but the layerslider doesn't work correctly
Hello Samuele,
Thank you for the answer.
Now I see which file contains the wrong code from your theme.
Uncaught TypeError: $(...).live is not a function line 173:
https://www.anticoforziere.com/wp-content/themes/restinn2/js/script.js?ver=5.5
Please fix it and after that the slider should work properly.

What can I do?
Hello Samuele,
Thank you for your feedback!
You should remove/commented out the wrong codes from your theme's script or you should contact with the developers of your theme to help with it.

Hi Kristof.
We had the same issue today. We had to go back to previous version of Wordpress to get it working again.
We had the slide coming originaly with our website theme, but today we bought it as we wanted to update it, but it doesn't allow to do it, even after putting in the license number.
I have attached the screen shot.
Let me know, please.
Thank you.
Hello,
With the update to WordPress 5.5, a migration tool known as jquery-migrate will no longer be enabled by default. This may lead to unexpected behaviors in some themes who run older code. You should try this plugin for a temporary solution until the theme developer fixes it:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/enable-jquery-migrate-helper/
After that the slider should work properly. Please check it.
You should check this link about how to update your plugin manually:
https://layerslider.kreaturamedia.com/documentation/#updating-manual

Now it works, thank you
You are welcome!
