Limited availability during the holidays

Another busy year is coming to its end, and an exciting year lies ahead. In order to get ready for a fresh new start, our team will spend a few days' rest during the winter holidays. Over the holiday break, we will have reduced staffing from December 20th, 2024, to January 5th, 2025, so please be patient if you do not receive a response as quickly as you normally would.

We send our warmest wishes for happiness, health, and success throughout the coming year. Thank you for your continued support, and may you have a peaceful and blessed Happy Holidays!

    Hi,

when purchasing, it stated that you can have three dev or mirror URLs for each license. I am starting out with the dev site. How do I set up a development URL?

    Thanks, regards

    Jochen

    Hello Jochen,

Thank you for getting in touch with us!

You should check this link in our documentation page about the development mirrors:
    https://layerslider.kreaturamedia.com/documentation/#activation-sites

If you will have any other question, feel free to ask.

    Hi Kristof,

thanks for the quick reply. I guess our setup will not be recognized by your rules. We use a development for next to all our sites. Is it possible to add this domain or parts of it (labor) to the whitelist?

    Thanks

    Jochen

    Hello Jochen,

    Thank you for your feedback!
This is not a standard developer / testing domain format, so we can't add it to our whitelist, since then anyone could request it with any domain. However, you do not need to change it, just create a domain alias. It is supported by almost every hosting provider and is usually just a few clicks away.

What do you mean by creating a domain alias? It's not trivial to get WordPress working with a changed URL? How would adding a domain alias help?

    Hello Jochen,

    Thank you for your feedback!

You should check for example this article about creating a domain alias:
    https://help.vodien.com/articles/create-domain-alias/

Your hosting provider should help you with it.

    Hi Kristof,

thanks for the link. So you are talking about a redirect.

We are hosting the sites by ourself and I administer DNS and webserver vhosts personally. So creating a redirect or an alias domain as you call it is no big deal. But as far as I can see, I would only enter the license key in the backend and that's the original, not the alias domain. How would this help marking the URL as a valid dev URL?

    Regards

    Jochen

    Hello Jochan,

    Thank you for your feedback!
During activation, you get an activationID and the website not authenticates with the domain. This means that someone can have an alias or subdomain of a domain , but if they point to the same page and work from the same database then there will be no problem with the activation.
