Keep font size steady while reshaping text box

    Hi Layerslider team

I'm getting frustrated when I change the shape of a text-box (by dragging the various sides) on a slider later and the font size always changes as the box changes shape (see screenshot where I've tried to explain what I mean).

Is there a way to lock the font size so that if i change the text box shape the font-size doesn't change?

I can't seem to find a way to do this and would appreciate if you could let me know how to do it.

    Many thanks

    Phil

    Hello Phil,

It is possible to add min.font size for the layers in the styles / text tab.
    Please check it.

    Hi Kristof

Ok, but that doesn't really do what I mean in terms of not changing font size when i resize the box.

Is there a max font size too, so I can lock the font size between a min & max value (I couldn't see one so presume not).

Can I suggest it might be an idea to add an option to "lock font size" on a future update?

    Something to consider maybe?

    All the best

    Hello Phil,

    Thank you for your feedback!
LayerSlider change the font-size with javascript.
The point is that there would be a solution to keep the font size from changing during responsiveness. But keep in mind that if the slider with a 15px font size that fits exactly 2 lines of text, then if you start to shrink the browser, it will reduce the width of the slider, then what happens? Normally everything decreases, so does the font size and the same remains in 2 lines of text. But if the font size can't be reduced because it's fixed, the text would start splitting into several lines, but the size of the slider (vertically) won't follow this, so the text layer will hang out of the slider and probably it won't appear, so this can't be solved unfortunately.
