I'm having the same issue. Just bought a licence and cannot activate it. Remote functions work perfectly — I can install new plugins etc. I've also scanned phpinfo output — both cURL and allow_url_fopen functions are working perfectly.

I cannot active the plugin. The only error message I get if for WP Remote functions but cUrl is currently activated.
