Thank you for getting in touch with us! You should try to purge your cache plugins cache and enable the LayerSlider / Options / Advanced / Include scripts in the footer option. If it doesn't solve your problem, please let me know and send me a Wordpress admin temporary to your site. Thank you, in advance.
We checked it again. Probably this issue caused by a cache plugin, so you should clear all caches. if that's not solve this problem, please temporarily disable other plugins and switch to one of the default WP themes. This way you can quickly eliminate external and 3rd party issues. If it solves the problem, you can find which item caused the trouble by re-enabling them one-by-one and watching when the issue comes back. Please check it, because your site is live. We apologize for the inconvenience.
The site was fine and i cannot disable all the other plugins because of the layer slider plugin update does not work. Ipso facto the layer slider has some sort of problem, since with the earlier version it works but the later version doesn't. I look forward to hearing what the solution might be. thanks!
We have added new developments to our product, fixed bugs, but these changes cannot take effect and work because a presumably cache plugin loads an older version of LayerSlider or part of it on your site. We did not experience such errors with our other users, if so, they were similar, we were able to resolve them in the way we suggested. The new version of the slider has no bugs, it has already been installed without errors by several of our 10,000 users. An incompatibility does not clearly affect a given product, even if a new version of that product stops with a defect. Unfortunately, we find that a lot of plugin developers do not follow the standards, old, outdated code is loaded in the wp admin interface and front site and if we always use the latest, latest technologies, it unfortunately happens that another plugin loaded old framework e.g. blocks LayerSlider from running. Thank you for understanding!
Thank you for your feedback! As your test showed, the plugin works properly. We were unable to reproduce the error ourselves, however, a stuck cache could cause such a problem, and we still believe that this is the root of the problem. Do you use any cache in server side?
Development installation are counted differently than live production sites. You can use LayerSlider on 3 additional development installations per site covered by your license. You should create a domain or a domain alias which meets the criteria. You can read more about it in our documentation: https://layerslider.kreaturamedia.com/documentation/#activation-sites Please check it.
Thank you for your feedback! We solve the issue on your site. The problem was that due to a setting, something in the uploaded plugin files also overwrote http to https, forcing all urls to secure, but this can cause errors in many places. We’ve created a temporary fix for this, but that’s not the slider’s fault, and it shouldn’t happen. Please check it.
No, you don't need to check different versions of the slider. Currently the latest version works properly on your site. We've debugged your site and found that one of your plugins or setting (We don't know exactly what) overwrite the uploaded plugins files and change http to https in the code, which is not normal. So we created a temporary fix in the LayerSlider which solve the problem in our case, but this can cause problems elsewhere too.
Thank you for your feedback! When we tested the latest slider, it was wrong in your site. We debugged the problem and create fix for the issue and after that it works properly. Maybe you didn't clear your browser cache and it doesn't work for you. I attached for you the version which contains a fix for the problem.

on another site i built a replicant of jimzakaskylaw.com ( highersourcesites.com/jimzakasky)
and the latest version did work on that site. I backed up that site ( updraftplus, dropbox)
and deactivated and deleted the older version on jimzakaslylaw.com and restored it
but i still got the old version, and not the new one. is there an explanation for that ?

in order for me to properly test, i will need to be able to update the plugin on an unlicensed development site.
can you grant a temp license for a few days for this url
https://highersourcewebsites.com/jimzakasky

Hello Ed,
Thank you for your feedback!
Please check it.

glad to hear you solved it. but what exactly does it mean "to check it".
you mean download a different version of the slider ( if so where do i do that, please give a link )?
and "due to a setting" what setting and where? is that something i do on my end or is it something
that is a default setting and now that has changed by your team?
I don't understand your reply in its entirety. thanks.

not at all sure what you did but when i went to the production site, and i ASSUME you are talking about that one,
the layerslider was again not showing up, i had to deactivate and delete and upload the older version.
