How do I add a custom font. I have a clients branded font, though it's not part of the Google font library. Is there a way to add this font to the list in LayerSlider WP? I already have it loaded to the site and it's working within the theme.

    Hello Dave,

Thank you for getting in touch with us. My name is Attila and I'm happy to assist you today. I appreciate your patience while we've been working towards your ticket.

You can add custom Google Fonts in the LayerSlider WP -> Options -> Google Fonts tab. After that, you just have to enter the font names to the Font family field and other styling settings in the Styles tab of the layer.

Or if you want to use fonts outside of Google Fonts that are not supported out-of-the-box, you will have to add and load them yourself to your site/installation. After that it's the same method, you can enter the font name to the layer's settings (Styles tab) and it will pick up the font on the front-end.

Ok the font is now added and shows up on the Style settings. Yet there is an issue, the font is appearing bold. If you go to this page and scroll to the bottom you will see the slider. https://devgetit.com/about/

See attachment for my style settings.

Custom fonts might not have the same predefined values that Google Fonts have. Please try different values and settings to see which one works for this font.

Ok I have spent over an hour trying different settings and nothing is making a difference. I've included some more screen shots so you can see the settings I'm currently using. When I use the Google Developer Tools/Inspect Elements and turn settings off, none except the actual font "family setting" makes any changes. Any other idea as to what the issue is?

  • Dave replied

I found out the issue. I had the name of the font in the "Font Family" setting as Museo, but I needed to add the hyphen 500...Museo-500...which resolved the problem.
