    Hi There,

We have had a lot of issues lately with our LayerSlider. The other day, the sliders wouldn't advance, which got fixed really quickly, but now, one of the elements in my slider is not responsive all of a sudden. It has been working up until today, when I made a change to the hyperlink. When I say "has been working," I mean that I had to go in and position my elements (svg - I suspect this has something to do with it) absolutely, because they were being placed randomly all over the slide after one of the recent LayerSlider updates, but were working when created. Please help!

Also, the slider is showing in Spanish instead of English. This happens about once per month. Our site is translated, but we don't have this issue with any other plugins. Usually, we have to go in and re-save the slider, but this should not be something we have to do regularly. It may be fixed by the time you see it, because I'm not going to leave it like that on our live site.

The number of revisions does not go up when I click the Save button, either, which makes me think the slider might not be saving.

That's as many things as I can think of. I hope it helps!

    Thank you,

    Ashley

    Hello Ashley,

Thank you for getting in touch with us.

Could you please set up a temporary WP login for us? It would be easier to troubleshoot these problems from the back-end by seeing the settings.

You can leave a private reply here with the credentials.

    Hi Attila,

For security reasons, I can't make you a login for the site. Please let me know any other ways I can be of service.

Secondary, maybe related, question: is there a way to get rid of revisions? My slider is showing 99 revisions, and won't save anymore. Could that have something to do with it?

    Thank you,

    Ashley

You can disable the Revisions feature in the plugin settings and then enable it again. This will reset the number of stored revisions, starting from 0 again.

As for the original problem, it is likely related to a 3rd party plugin or method that is interfering with the sliders in your installation. You could look for any optimizer/lazy load/cache plugin that could be responsible for messing with the slider's content. If you're not sure which one, you could temporarily disable other plugins and switch to a default WP theme, empty cache, refresh site, and see if that solves the issue.

You can also check the LayerSlider System Status, located in the Options menu on the WP sidebar, for any possible error messages or notifications.

I'd also recommend to check on your translation strings in WordPress. Incorrectly set up strings can cause issues for translations, for example overwriting the slider's language.

    Hi Attila,

Thank you!!!! I totally forgot I had installed a Lazy Loading plugin, and that was the problem. Thank you so much for your help. :)

    Thank you again,

    Ashley
