We've logged in and enabled the Skip Slide Breaks option for you (Slider Settings / Slideshow). It automatically forces the slideshow to skip the slide transitions both forward and backward.
This will solve the problem you are facing, however there are no breakpoints now where the slideshow can stop. The slides were that before. So you will have to set your layers to be keyframes now, to take their place. You can do this in the layers' transition settings. So the play by scroll will only stop at those specific layers, and not on slide change.
