Thank you for getting in touch with us. My name is Attila and I'm happy to assist you today. I appreciate your patience while we've been working towards your ticket.
There is no limit for sliders/slides/layers you can use, but your web server configuration could prevent creating more content after a point. Please check the LayerSlider System Status, located on the WordPress sidebar, to see if there is any error or notification that would provide more information on this case.
Are you able to make other (smaller) changes to the slider that show up on the front-end? For example can you add 1 more slide instead of 25 more at once? Or can you edit the existing 24 slides?
We've checked on what we could, and it seems to be a server limitation. This content limit in your server configuration is reached exactly at 25 slides. That is why you cannot add more.
We'd recommend contacting your hosting and ask them to check on the server logs to find the exact error that happens. Only your hosting has the neccesary tools and permissions to locate the exact error and make the needed adjustements in the server config.
Your sliders in Revolution Slider might contain less content and that is why they still work. But if you add the same amount of data as you did in LayerSlider, the same limitation will occur and prevent further expanding.
We're sorry, but we are not able to offer a refund for an error related to server misconfiguraion.
I have added 24 slides to my presentation. I added about 25 more and they all disappeared after I navigated away from the editor.

Hi Attila,
There are only two warnings (see attachment)
Update to latest version (6.10.0), as we are constantly working on new features, improvements and bug fixes.
The listed plugin(s) may prevent edits and other changes to show up on your site in real-time. Empty your caches if you experience any issue.Thank you for the feedback.

Hi Attila,
No. It just stops saving. I even tried creating a new slider...Same thing. It just stops and won't save any more slides after 24.
Best,

Thank you for the feedback.
Could you please set up a temporary WP login for us, so we can check on this further in the back-end?
You can post a private reply here with the credentials.
Hey Attila,
One thing I thought of is, the filenames have some weird characters like © etc. I tried doing a search and replace on the database and it made no difference. Example: The-Illustrated-On-the-Road-OTR-24-for-jackkerouac.com-C.-Panzner-©-2019-1.jpg
I don't know why it would work 24 times and then stop working.
Also, I tried using Chrome (instead of Firefox) and I was able to add one more slide, but then it stopped saving after that.
The slides appear to be saving, but if you navigate away from the slider and then back, they disappear.
Best,

Thank you. My colleagues and I will look into this to see what we can find, and get back to you shortly.
Thank you for your patience.

Hey Attila,
I switched to revolution slider and was able to add all the slides...Doesn't seem to be a server limitation. Can I get a refund?
Thanks,

We've confirmed that it's a server limitation.
Your sliders in Revolution Slider might contain less content and that is why they still work. But if you add the same amount of data as you did in LayerSlider, the same limitation will occur and prevent further expanding.
We're sorry, but we are not able to offer a refund for an error related to server misconfiguraion.
Thank you for your understanding.
