    Hi,

I use LayerSlider on all my website pages. It used to work fine, except for url https://smartkeyword.io/a-propos/. In order to try to fix the issue on that url,  purchased the license in order to do the software update thinking it would help, but it hasn't. Instead, the LayerSlider stopped working on all pages. Can you help me fix it ?

    Many thanks

    Claire

    Hello Claire,

Thank you for getting in touch with us. My name is Attila and I'm happy to assist you today. I would like to confirm that we have received your message.

The problem seems to be related to the JS errors on your site. They are most likely blocking the slider. You can see them on all pages, in the browser console. We'll look into it to see what might be causing them, and get back to you.

We appreciate your patience while we're working towards your ticket.

The problem seems to be generated by a 3rd party item, some kind of youtube embed plugin as we can see. Please temporarily disable it to see if that helps.

If the problem persists, please temporarily disable all other plugins and switch to a default WP theme on your installation. Empty cache, refresh site and check whether the issue is resolved.

    Let us know. Thank you.

    Hi,

Many thanks for looking into it. I temporarily disabled the "Embed Plus for You Tube" extension in WP, purged the cache and refreshed the site. But the LayerSlider is still broken on all pages.

As I do not know which of the other extensions I use are using JS, I did not proceed to disable them to test.

In your opinion, what else can I do ?

    Thanks

    Claire

    Thank you for the feedback.

Unfortunately we cannot tell what item is responsible for this exactly from the JS errors. That is why we recommended to temporarily disable them for testing.

Once you do, you can verify whether the problem is resolved, and then you can turn them back one by one to find the culprit.

    Hello,

I did deactivate each extension one by one. It appears that the extension Google Tag Manager for Wordpress that caused the issue. Unfortunately, I can't remove this extension. Do you have an idea of how these two can coexist ?

    Many thanks

    Claire

    Thank you for the feedback.

Unfortunately since the issue seems to be generated on that plugin's part, we cannot really fix it from our end.

But you could try to exclude LayerSlider or the sliders on page from that plugin's target list, if it provides such option. So it does not interfere with them and they can load properly.

Please also make sure that you are using up-to-date versions of these items on your installation.
