Please note that there is no issue like this present in the latest release of our plugin (6.9.2.), so unfortunately it is most likely a conflict problem on your installation with another item.
It is likely a CSS/JS error related issue. If you are using a cache plugin or method, please empty cache and delete cache files, to see if that helps.
In case that didn't help, to continue troubleshooting please temporarily disable other plugins and switch to a default WP theme. Then you can enable them back one by one to find the culprit.
Please also check the LayerSlider System Status, located in the Options menu on the WP sidebar, for any possible error messages that could provide more information.
