I'm using the Avada Theme "Portfolio" element and want to launch the LayerSlider popup that I created when a user clicks on one of the images in the gallery. I want the popup to overlay the portfolio gallery. Right now, the "Portfolio" element is programmed to open a separate page. I'm not sure what code I can put in the "Open by click" jquery to make the LayerSlider pop happen instead.

In case you want to start a popup slider with an element outside of a slider from your site, you will need to apply an ID (id="example") or class (class="example") on that element (in your case image) and enter the same selector for ID (#example) or class (.example) to the Open By Click field in the Slider Settings. The theme builder should provide an option where you can add an attribute to your images.
Please also make sure that the sliders that you want to use (the popups as well) are all added to the page. You can also use the Slider Settings -> Popup -> Target Pages section for this purpose.
Thank you for your response. It worked! Assigning the target page was the missing link for me. I put in the jquery but it didn't work. I didn't realize I had to assign a target page and that's what did it.
