Limited availability during the holidays
Another busy year is coming to its end, and an exciting year lies ahead. In order to get ready for a fresh new start, our team will spend a few days' rest during the winter holidays. Over the holiday break, we will have reduced staffing from December 20th, 2025, to January 4th, 2026, so please be patient if you do not receive a response as quickly as you normally would.
We send our warmest wishes for happiness, health, and success throughout the coming year. Thank you for your continued support, and may you have a peaceful and blessed Happy Holidays!
ALL OF MY PHOTO GALLERIES WILL NOT LOAD SINCE I UPDATED MY PLUGINS. WHEN I TRIED TO UPDATE YOUR PLUGIN I GET A MESSAGE THAT SAYS "Update Failed: Download failed. Forbidden"
Hello L23train,
Thank you for getting in touch with us. My name is Attila and I'm happy to assist you today. I appreciate your patience while we've been working towards your ticket.
I've checked your site, but there is no LayerSlider on it. That is a different plugin on the homepage. Also, there is no such error in LayerSlider, are you sure that you are using this plugin and not another one ?
In any case, you can update the plugin two ways. Either by using the auto-update feature or by reinstalling it manually with the latest release. Both methods are described in the documentation on the following URLs: https://layerslider.kreaturamedia.com/documentation/#updating , https://layerslider.kreaturamedia.com/documentation/#installation
There was a layer slider on 3 of the main pages but they are all gone since I updated my plugins and WP version. Then when I tried to update the plugin, it gave me that error message. I purchased it and tried to upload it manually but that also failed. Even the support features were not available when I tried to access it from my WP Dashboard.
Currently, LayerSlider does not even show installed/activated on your site. The sliders on your site are Slider Revolution.
Are you sure, you are not mistaking the two plugins ?
If not, let us know where can we see the problematic sliders.
No I'm not getting them confused. I deleted the plugin LayerSlider because I'm worried it will happen again and more content will be deleted.
Unfortunately we cannot troubleshoot a problem that we cannot see. If you need assistance with the plugin, please set up a test page with the sliders where we can investigate this.
As for the update, you need to remove the current version first in order to be able to upload it again. Please refer to the links in my previous reply for the update/installation instructions.
