Thank you for getting in touch with us. My name is Attila and I'm happy to assist you today. I appreciate your patience while we've been working towards your ticket.
The two sites' layout is likely different, so you might need to adjust the slider's layout too. Please navigate to the Slider Settings -> Layout tab and choose the layout you would like to have for your slider. If you don't want it to be fullwidth or fullscreen, select the normal responsive layout, set the initial sizes for the canvas and then limit it with the Max-width option to your liking.
Any chance you can share a screenshot of the settings of the slider in your demo site? I want to replicate it prety much like it is. I will play around with mine in the meantime
You can import that demo slider from the Template Store. That way you can see the exact settings we used on that slider.
As I can see you've managed to limit your slider's sizes in the meantime, so it's positioned in the middle of the page. What else would you like to change on it ?
They are looking different because you are using different settings. Your slider is set to be fixed size. This will result in the slider not fitting most viewing screens as it will not resize. Please refer to my earlier reply and try to only change those settings compared to the original slider.
I'm sorry; But on immediate import the slider looks completely different from the one on the demo page; I'm attaching a side-by-side screenshot so you see what I mean. The newly imported slider looks nothing like the one on the demo site. thumbails are in different places, nav does not match, etc.
The only setting change I've made to the imported slider is set it to "fixed" width.
The problem is that your theme is overwriting a lot of skin settings inside LayerSlider, thus interfering with your slider's default styling. That is why your slider looks different from the demo slider, as there is an external interference on your site, coming from your theme.
First, please update your theme to the latest release. Newer versions might no longer cause issues like this.
If it still persists with the latest theme version, please contact your theme author on how you can prevent it from overwriting LayerSlider skins/settings.
I imported your video slider template but it will not display as it does in the preview (https://layerslider.kreaturamedia.com/sliders/video-slider/)
Do I need to change the settings? When I drop it on one of my pages (http://www.liammacoco.com/video-test-page/) it just fills the entire screen.
Thanks in advance.

Attila, I changed size settings, etc. but even then the slider looks completely different on my page than on the preview site. Something is amiss...

I want it to look like the advertised sample page.
The one on my page looks nothing like it; navigation is totally different; and thumbnails are not in the same position, etc.
