layer slider breaks down my site if visited on mobile device on firefox

    Hi there,

I created a website using layer slider. The slider is set to "not showing" on mobile devices, and also I use Avada theme which gives me the possibility to hide the container that holds the slider on mobile devices. This is how I built up the site, because the slider (which shows locations of shops on a map) did not look good on mobile.

Actually everything seemed to work fine till one day I checked the site on an Android device in Firefox(Firefox 68.1.1), and apparently it seemed broken. I started to run tests to find out what could cause the problem, so I switched some plugins off for example, but nothing seemed to work. Finally when I deleted the layer slider from tha page suddenly everything works just perfect on mobile device on Firefox. I retested this 3 times. If it is on the page, it does not work on this specific browser on mobile. If it is deleted, everything works well. So definitely layer slider causes the problem, even if it does not appear on the site.

I attach a short video that shows how the site functions in a bad way when the slider is on it. I also have an error message that you will see.

Please be aware that there is another slider on the top of the page, which is a Fusion slider, it is not the Layer Slider. TheLayer Slider is the green one showing a map and locations.

Please help me on what I should do to fix the issue. Thank you!

    Hello Eszter,

Thank you for getting in touch with us. My name is Attila and I'm happy to assist you today. I appreciate your patience while we've been working towards your ticket.

There is no known issue such as this in the plugin, it's most likely generated by something else. Possibly by the custom implementation method you are using to insert/hide the sliders, it could easily interfere with the sliders' default functions and generate errors.

I've tested your site on multiple Android devices with Firefox browser, but I did not see any errors so far. Do you experience this on any other device or just that one only?

    Hi Attila,

Thank you for your reply!  We experienced the issue with my team on several devices. For example:

    Samsung Galaxy J5 (R58K7365QLN)

    One Plus 6T

Did you see the video that I attached?

If you think you cannot help can you advice me who to contact? i working with Avada, which means I got Layer Slider with the Theme, so I dont know how the implementation could cause trouble. By now I also bought Layer Slider, so I use the paid version of it.

    Waiting for your advice,

    Eszter

Thank you for the feedback. My colleagues and I will look into this further to see what we can find, and get back to you.

Our team tested this further on several devices (including a Samsung Galaxy, a One Plus, multiple iPhones, etc), using different operation systems and browser versions. Yet, we were not able to reproduce the issue. None of them had this problem on our end.

Is there a trick to trigger this error ? Are you only seeing this as a logged in admin ? Or is it present only on your workplace network ? Unfortunately we cannot really toubleshoot an issue that we cannot see.

    Let us know. Thank you.
